CheapCheapLah Weekly Deal Posting Competition 2016

CheapCheapLah's goal is to create a community of bargain hunters to share, discuss and discover the best deals in Singapore together. The website has been live for more than 7 months now and we are still working on achieving that goal. Hopefully we will get there, gradually. To facilitate that, we will be running a weekly competition starting next week, where we will pick a random deal post, and award the poster SGD $25!

Ka-Ching!

Well. We won't actually knock on your door to deliver the prize in banknotes & coins, but will be transferred to you via PayPal. So here are the rules, terms & conditions:

How to Enter?

Submit an applicable deal on CheapCheapLah (i.e. follow our deal posting guidelines, available to Singapore, not spam, duplicates or sockpuppeting, etc so it stays published) will earn you one entry in the draw. Posting multiple deals in a week will earn you multiple entries.

Who can Enter?

Some entries will be excluded from the draw.

  • Staffs from Delvu Media / OzBargain are not eligible (sorry JSQUARED!)
  • Store rep flagged deals are not eligible
  • Users resided outside of Singapore are also excluded

What's the Prize?

SGD $25 in PayPal fund.

How is Winner Determined?

Every Friday at 11:59PM a winner will be randomly drawn from all the eligible entries. Result will be announced in this forum thread within 24 hours, and winner will be contacted via private message. We will need your PayPal ID (usually your email address) to send you the prize.

      I used to live in Australia which is where I heard of OzBargain and CheapCheapLah, but have moved to Singapore which explains why 'oz' is in the username. Really hoping CheapCheapLah becomes as popular as OzBargain!

      Or we can just say that I'm actually from the Land of Oz or am a massive fan of Oz or it's just simply a shortened form for ounces ;)

    Yes it's ozweb again — winning 4 weeks in a row.

    Yesterday (26 Aug 2016) was also the first day with over 1,000 users mostly coming here searching for a deal. However we are still working on converting bargain hunters coming here to actual participants of the site. Hopefully we will get there soon and create some competition to ozweb :)

    Hey scotty. Great initiative. I think Ozbargain had this in its early days.. or does it still have it?

    You say those who do not reside in Singapore are excluded.. how do you mean..? :P
    What if I post here but am "living" in Singapore while I post it?
    Or I was thinking I could use my brother (or get him to sign up for an account, post as him) who permanently lives in Singapore?

      Yes OzBargain had it back in the early days. We still give out monthly awards but due to the government policy, we cannot do random draw in NSW without a promotion license.

      If you are visiting Singapore, spotted a deal & posted here — yes that would still count. If your brother is living in Singapore then yes he should be coming on this site and share the deals he found :)
