  • Honestly a bloody ridiculous(ly good) plan… I smell a price war coming

    • I hope so but the recent articles published about this claim that such pricing may not be sustainable in long term. Since their network does not even work in most MRT tunnels yet, TPG has to attract customers somehow. They have a deadline of Jan 1, 2022 to achieve 99% coverage. So if you mostly travel by bus/car and don't go underground much, this is undeniably the best value plan.

Yep that's definitely the primary concern with TPG - reception. So the solution is, you get dual SIM phone, then you get a cheap plan for your underground usage which includes a little bit of data, and you get TPG for data.

The best combination would've been the free Circles.Life plan but since that's no longer available, the next best is the $5/mth plan with 2GB and 50 mins calls, also from Circles.Life.

So $15/mth for 52GB, 350 mins calls, 1GB/mth roaming for selected countries. A pretty ridiculous combination.

        • The eSim adoption in Singapore is moving slower than a snail. So dual SIM is out of question on iPhone and Pixels.

But honestly at the combination you suggested, I won't mind carrying two phones or phone+dongle
